About Poly-Guard
Our Carver Pop-up Covers are now offered in Performance Poly-Guard, the same material used for our boat covers for many years. This is a true loom woven marine grade polyester. The fact that this material is woven sets it apart from the competition. Unfortunately, most covers on the market today are made from non-woven materials which are not very strong or durable. A woven material is going to offer a much higher tear resistance/tensile strength than a non-woven fabric such as polypropylene, meaning your Carver cover will last much longer. This material offers superior water repellency while still being breathable. This means any heat or moisture which gets under the cover will be able to evaporate right back out, so you never have to worry about the cover causing damage to your RV (as waterproof covers can do).
Performance Poly-Guard is made by Shuford Mills, a highly respected fabric supplier. Shuford is also located here in the Carolinas, and they are a globally respected mill. Their Poly-Guard is a fairly lightweight material, weighing about 8 oz. per square yard. This means the RV cover will not be overly heavy, making it easier to handle. Although this material is lighter weight, the weave on it is very tight, meaning it’s extremely strong. It’s so tear resistant that if you cut it with a knife, you still won’t be able to make the hole bigger, no matter how hard you pull. Don’t try this with your RV cover though- let us send you a sample if you’d like to test its tear strength.
Carver RV covers are still made with the same great features, such as made to provide a tight fit and straps sewn into the cover so you can secure it nice and neatly. All Carver covers come with a five-year warranty, and they are all made right here in the USA!
